Welcome to Blue Water Striper Guide Service!!

My name is James Allen and I own and operate Blue Water Striper Guide Service on Lake Texoma

Don't wait to get your summer day booked. Weekends go first, so call now to insure you get the day you want. I have groups that book a year in advance to guarantee they get "their" day. It is impossible to ask too soon. It is very possible to wait too long.
If you fish all of the time, or have never caught a fish in your life, hiring a guide to catch Stripers on Lake Texoma is a great way to spend time with friends and family. I live locally and grew up fishing on Lake Texoma. Guiding on Texoma is my full-time job. I fish only on Lake Texoma and I fish year round. Guiding on Texoma is all I do. I average over 220 trips a year. I don't have a second or part-time job. This gives me a huge advantage over part-time guides that only fish when the lure bite is good or when the weather is nice. I'm out there when it is 100 degrees and I'm fishing when it is so cold, there is a layer of ice on the boat. I fish enough during the week to know the current conditions of the lake, how the fish are biting and what the current patterns are.
I work with the Catfish Bay Guide Association and launch from the Main Marina at Catfish Bay. Working with 8 other striper guides on a daily basis keeps us all updated on where the best fishing is at. There are not many days that at least a couple of us are not out on the water and sometimes I only take one or two days off a month. Remember, this is my full-time job. This gives me an updated fishing report almost 365 days a year. The facilities at Catfish Bay are second to none, with heated/air conditioned restrooms and covered docks where we meet.

Some highlights of my guide service......
.....We will fish for at least 6 hours....If fishing is great and we catch our limits in an hour or two don't worry, I won't take you back to the dock, you can continue to catch and release or fish for catfish if they are biting. You are allowed to keep seperate limits of those species also. I don't pretend to be a catfish guide but sometimes I find "holes" of them and catching 30 or so up to 10lbs can be done. It is more of a chance thing for cats since almost 100% of my customers are looking for that trophy Striper and don't want to fish for anything but them. I don't do two trips a day anymore just so we can stay out later.
.....Your group will be the only party on the boat......I never put different groups together in the same boat and you will fish with me, not some other guide that works for me.
.....I catch bait BEFORE you arrive......I'll be 100% ready to fish when you arrive. All of your time will be spent fishing for Stripers, not bait. I catch fresh bait every morning for your trip and sometimes they are hard to find. I may be on the water at 4:a.m. or as early as 1:a.m. looking for bait. (you are more than welcome to go with me to catch bait, just let me know) I also don't catch a minimum number of bait per person. I try to get as many as I think we will need to last the entire day. If we catch a lot of fish, we will need lots of bait.
.....I only do one trip a day...... I've stopped doing two trips a day. We are not rushed to get back to get ready for an afternoon trip. A typical day for me to do one trip is 12-16 hours, counting prep time and boat cleaning/maintenance after you leave. Your trip has my full attention for that day.
.....I don't charge extra for lost rods, reels & lures..... It happens, 5-6 rods a year and lots of lures, but I take the loss not you. A lot of guides charge up to $150.00 extra if you lose a rod and reel and $7.00 per lure, so hang on tight. This may have to change in the future but right now I'm still absorbing those losses. If you bring kids, you will appreciate this feature. LOL.
.....I'm one of the few guides that takes 100% of the red line out of the fillets.....This part of the fish makes it taste "strong". I completely take it out for you, clean your fillets 100% and put them in long lasting freezer bags so you don't have to do a thing at home. When I hand you the fillets, they will not have ANY red on them. The fish I clean are freezer or eating ready. This process makes the cleaning time take a bit longer but the last thing you want to do when you get home, is finish cleaning your fish. Don't let people fool you, this is important and you will be happy that I did it for you. Very few guides offer this service. Click here for pictures of the red line.
.....I like, and want you to bring your kids...... Fishing is a great opportunity to "bond" with your kids and make some lifetime memories. Let me be a part of that experience. I promise that you and you're kids will not be exposed to foul language or any other "non family" environment. You will have a good time.....I promise. No worries. My boat is very safe and kid friendly. I have set ups that are very easy for kids and inexperienced fisherman to manage. The kids will love reeling in those big stripers. I love being a part of anyones "first fish" kids or adults. Bring your wives or girlfriends and let them have a great day on the water also. I cater to all levels of experience. You reel in those fish and let me take care of the kids. I usually have them sit up front with me so I can spend as much time helping them as possible. Now, you can concentrate on your fish.

I can get as many boats as you need for your corporate trips.

I want you to make fishing with me an annual event for you and your family, your co-workers, or buddies you've not seen in a while. A guided trip is a great excuse to get together and enjoy the company of friends you don't see that much. I've made some great friendships over the years and look forward to meeting you.
Striper fishing on Lake Texoma with a fishing guide is the best and easiest way to catch the trophy fish of a lifetime. When was the last time you caught over 100 fish in one day? It doesn't happen every day, but it does happen..... Let me do the hard work, you take it easy and enjoy the lake.

Lake Texoma has one of the most liberal Striper limits you will find anywhere...... 10 fish per person. (The limit is 5 per person below the dam or on every other Texas Lake)
Lake Texoma is known as the Striper Capital of the World for a good reason......what are you waiting for? Call or email me today.
